Academic and Institutional Enquiries
For invited lectures, institutional partnerships, and related academic enquiries, please provide a brief description of the proposed activity, the relevant organisation or academic context, and any important dates or deadlines.

Enquiries that relate directly to the lab’s research programme in urban design science, built environments, population health, spatial methods, and related areas are particularly welcome.
Master’s and Doctoral Research
Prospective master’s and doctoral applicants should provide a CV and a concise research proposal specifying the proposed topic, research questions, methods and relationship to the lab’s research programme. The proposal should demonstrate a clear understanding of the intended research problem rather than provide only a broad statement of interest.
Applicants should also provide information on the proposed scholarship or funding scheme, its current status and the expected application timeline. Places are limited, and priority is generally given to candidates with confirmed full scholarships or other secure funding.
Previous publications, research reports, or other examples of academic writing may be included where available.
Visiting Researchers and Academic Visitors
Capacity for visiting students, postdoctoral researchers and sabbatical visitors is very limited, irrespective of funding. Requests can therefore be considered only in exceptional circumstances where there is a strong fit with the lab’s current research programme.
Enquiries should specify the proposed research activities, expected academic contribution, institutional affiliation, funding arrangements and intended period of visit. Unsolicited requests that do not demonstrate a clear research fit may not receive a response.
Media and Public Engagement
Media organisations and other professional outlets are welcome to submit enquiries concerning research on urban design, built environments, population health, active living, public space, workplace environments, and emerging approaches to health-supportive design.
Requests should include the organisation or outlet, intended audience, proposed topic, interview or communication format, expected duration, relevant deadline, and whether recording or filming is planned.
